Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 17, "The Legend of the Clock Tower" review

I like how they use Katie as this tough lady in a time where people were old fashioned.
I also wonder the ties this colonial person had with Frax in the future as they look quite similar.
I'm not exactly sure how Katie affecting time worked, but seemed fairly interesting.

Power Rangers Time Force Episode 13 "Quantum Quest" 15 Years Later

Dr. Hammond of Jurassic Park and an homage to Indiana Jones appears in the episode.

Good guy is free.

Wes and Eric's chemistry and friends and rivals although interesting just isn't as good as Timeranger. They seem quite obviously acting opposed to immersing me into the characters.

Eric looks for the Quantum Rangers powers, opposed to helping Jen. Takes the power selfishly.

I wonder if Jen would've done this vs Wes, etc..

No one really gets hurt despite all these monster blades.

There's some adaptation decay with the scenes.

Also, Eric never really made the weapon pose his.

Ransik's usage is very little and that was a good choice.

The Hammond character I would've liked used more especially since in the last episode they actually do go back in time.

Power Rangers Time Force Episode 12 "Worlds Apart" 15 Years Later

He's poor, but he's a bad guy.
He's rich, but he's a good guy.
Good change of pace for once.

Also, he gains the trust of his dad, which something Wes might dislike. Does he although he say he doesn't? Why does Wes even care? There's no evidence that Mr. Collins is a good person otherwise.

They do a good guy of building such an evil guy to be a Ranger, in a way that trumps Green Ranger.

They set up real weapons.

They set up Eric being under someone else.

Wes also reveals his identity. Something that was taboo under the Zordon era.

Collins has a moment with his son. Collins is probably treated less empathetically than his Timeranger counterpart. Before this moment at least.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 8 "Jen's Revenge"

Wes and Jen are shipped for some odd reason.

Jen has an acid flashback of Alex for some odd reason.

I really like the character of the monster of the week. Although, the colors sorta don't make sense, he's sort of a bozoku in US form especially with the mohawk and chaingun, I enjoy that he has a thing for Nadira.

Also, why is this the only Jen v Ransik episode?

Later, it's revealed Alex is back anyway.

"But it's what Alex would do?"
How does Wes know what would Alex do?

Jen liking Wes just the way he is works.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 7, "Short Circuited"

Trip cheats at Poker, an illegal activity in some states in real life to being with. Not sure about in Power Rangers United States. Then for some odd reason Trip isn't allowed to use his gem head power, for some odd reason.
CUZ Lucas is a sore loser at Poker. Or something.

Trip plays a naive character very well.

Nadira is played well as a manipulative bad guy. We feel for her in the beginning but it's because she tricks not only Trip, but the audience as well.

Circuit is captured.

Darkly enough, Circuit actually a bit injured with all his wires out.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 31 "Undercover Rangers"

A bit of a dumb PR-ish episode.
Wes and Jen are shipped in an episode with some wacky get rich quick gain weight scam.

Power Rangers Time Force Episode 9 "The Time Shadow" 15 Years Later

The Mutant baddies are gang-like and referred to as a gang, opposed to the cops of both Time Force and the Biotech company. It adds to some of the Verehoeven RoboCop elements that made it to the final product. Themes of corporations and powers out of control are present. However, as I watch later episodes it sorta gets diluted with children's show comedy. It's sort of a weird and not as fluid contrast, but does give the show its identity. I'll get to why that happened in the end of the review.
Weapons are a key aspect of the show for both Biotech and Ransik.
Ransik defeats a robot much to the dismay of Frax. Ransik uses robots as other parasitic being have used other beings.
Frax destroys humans to build up destroying Ransik. He destroys a tank in the process.

Rest of it is standard Power Rangers stuff.

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger Episode 4 Mandarin Dub Review

They're in a Japanese shrine.
Japanese shrine bell org.
Blue weak and tombs.
That's about it. There's probably something about the actual use of shrines or something, but I sorta saw it as a filler episode.

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger Episode 3 Mandarin Dub review

Even though this is the Mandarin dub, it seemed a lot more obvious than in Wild Force, the idea of a camera stealing ones soul.
Also Mandilok is introduced to bring out the idea of the eye.

GaoRed seems more than a jock than I recall.
I sorta see him as a Black Condor/Bouken Black actually.
Rivalry with the Red Senshi and second in command of the baddies. Antiheroish. Doesn't get along.

Also, because of Gaoranger vs Super Sentai, I always associated the Gaoranger song with Anniversary shows.

They also use CGI for the camera tentacle effect. It's used briefly so you don't notice the fakeness.

Lion King.

White Tiger

Black Bison.

Also, I love the Gaoranger team finisher. It was original and not replicated, compared to the unnecessary uses of a Pirate Ship Cannon in Gokaiger, and just so many unnecessary cannon uses which don't get real stories at times.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 26, "Time Force Traitor" review

There's not a lot of depth to the fact that Steelix cutting a deal with Ransik but it works. We can assume that money is a dangerous power, and that's been reinforced through the show as with Nadira's affinity for it, and Collins Sr's deals with weapons, security paramilitaries and bio weapons research.

The use of a toy box for Steelix to show his hologram was interesting. It's toy-like but has an adult detailed dark Hellraiser-ish design.

The use of the term mutants was sorta racist by Jen, especially after Trip already saved one, but was probably due to Screen Actor's Guild/lack of ability to retake the scene.

There's also a lot of Jen somewhat nudity, with her placing her Power Ranger toy gun on her skirt as if that would hold in in addition to showing her boxers a lot.

Side note, since Pokemon Sun and Moon was big, her partner's name was Steelix oddly enough 15 years later.

I sorta think it'd be impossible in 2001, but I think it would've been interesting if Jen's former cop partner was Time Force Pink Fire in the "Time Force Traitor" episode.
Also, as much as people complain about US suits' Steelix was just sorta awful all around. Even Sledge worthy. I actually have complaints about a lot of the Japanese suits post Gaoranger actually.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 23, "Full Exposure" review

Katie's an underrated character and her actress is underrated. There's a little bit of overdrama with Katie not wanting to have her identity exposed. On the other hand, I just as an adult like how I didn't like her character's accessibility to audiences several years earlier. There's no cheese behind her character, and her actress keeps the character consistent throughout.
Is it a better character than Damon from Time Yellow? Probably not. but the amount of praise or luck due to the restraint the character is used is well done.

The whole Daily Planet storyline of not wanting a superhero's identity exposed is interesting. I would've liked an obvious reason especially in a time show, of time inconsistencies and possibly even have the photographer sent to Time Force jail as a result of violating rules. The drama of Katie not wanting to do that seems really interesting.

The Guest of the Week is very good. They have a lot of not wanting to do it yet he does it, albeit the music is a big factor in that as well.
The moment when they lose their powers built up to showing their identity was really good.
The actors for the newspaper were really good. Sorta reminds me of Kaitlin Starr of VR Troopers. I sorta wish there was more at the newspaper than Nick at Time though.

Also, where's Eric been the last few episodes?

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 21, "Lovestruck Rangers" review

Jen is shipped with her lover's great x 20 grandfather this episode.

It's accessible whether I like it to be or not.

Jen falling for Wes is rushed in this series. Also, Wes is so underdeveloped I sorta don't care who he likes.
Then again media is visual. They look a like so she's attracted to him in a sort of narcissism for someone else situation.

Well, the Snake bracelet seems fairly effective.

Worth Keeter directed, hence the MMPR cheese. If you like the comedy of the episode, kudos to you.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 6, "A Parting of Ways" review

Jen calls Wes a great Red Ranger. There's some humor. Wes seems comfortable. Jen's somewhat in character, somewhat not.

Mr. Collins states that one day Wes will take over Biolab. There's some father son moments here.

Kids get captured on a bus.

YTF should Mr. Collins pay the ransom. You have the police, Time Force can manipulate time, Wes can't sign a check? Wtf is Ransik going to do with 2000s money? Especially after what Bush did to the economy? Why don't they just short sell Bear Sterns?

Then again, Collins does set up the Silver Guardians later anyway, so shows people he can do that kind of stuff.

Baseball bad guy is the monster of the week.

Also, they didn't sign the check?
Also, why would these guys pay in a check? What if the check bounces?

Also, the bad guy of the episode just showed why you shouldn't have paid them in the first place, so Wes looks like a fool.

Where is the money in the children's orphanage going? How many will it feed? Did Wes ever go to college? Maybe Jen was right about him being given everything.

Power Rangers Time Force 15 Years Later Episode 14-15, "Clash for Control, Part 1 and 2"

The Hammond character I would've liked used more especially since in the last episode they actually do go back in time.

I like the Time Computer Trip uses

I'm also wondering if there were any union issues, reasonings for not bringing back Jason David Frank and Austin St. John for this episode. probably just Saban being Saban.

Eric goes after Wes.

Also, in retrospect, I don't like them shipping Wes and Jen, there's so little time with the two of them together, that although the actors pulled it off later, it seemed like it wasn't well built up.

Mr. Collins uses Wes to get to Eric. Collins wants Megazords.

Q-Rex time limit.

Eric discusses Wes being jealous of Eric being the Quantum Ranger. It's a bit dark in that it's a lie that isn't true. But it would've been darker if that was true and Wes portrayed that.
Eric lead the Time Force Rangers.
Mr. Collins meets the Time Force Rangers. He's manipulating them.
How would Wes know that they wouldn't join Collins? Wes knows him so well.

Spoiled rich kid talk is annoying and stereotypical.

However, the cheesiness of the fight works.

The monster is campy.
That's what's teamworks' about.

Jason Faunt saying "yea, sure does," although lacking energy, actually made it seem more convincing.

I see some Abarekiller mech design in the Q-Rex Megazord. There's some cool stuff about the zord, that you don't witness unless you see the show unlike the Zyuranger mechs which look cool with no knowledge of the show.

Mr. Collins in the end takes control of Eric, and Eric completely immerses himself in that decision.

Is it really in Jen's character to make a joining with Mr. Collins character?
