Also, he gains the trust of his dad, which something Wes might dislike. Does he although he say he doesn't? Why does Wes even care? There's no evidence that Mr. Collins is a good person otherwise.
They do a good guy of building such an evil guy to be a Ranger, in a way that trumps Green Ranger.
They set up real weapons.
They set up Eric being under someone else.
Wes also reveals his identity. Something that was taboo under the Zordon era.
Collins has a moment with his son. Collins is probably treated less empathetically than his Timeranger counterpart. Before this moment at least.
