Even though this is the Mandarin dub, it seemed a lot more obvious than in Wild Force, the idea of a camera stealing ones soul.
Also Mandilok is introduced to bring out the idea of the eye.
GaoRed seems more than a jock than I recall.
I sorta see him as a Black Condor/Bouken Black actually.
Rivalry with the Red Senshi and second in command of the baddies. Antiheroish. Doesn't get along.
Also, because of Gaoranger vs Super Sentai, I always associated the Gaoranger song with Anniversary shows.
They also use CGI for the camera tentacle effect. It's used briefly so you don't notice the fakeness.

White Tiger
Black Bison.
Also, I love the Gaoranger team finisher. It was original and not replicated, compared to the unnecessary uses of a Pirate Ship Cannon in Gokaiger, and just so many unnecessary cannon uses which don't get real stories at times.
